| Last night (11th April 2012(, Bro. James Wheeldon was installed into the chair of Rose & Thistle by W.Bro. Brian Clark assisted by W.Bro. Norman Meadows and other past masters of the Lodge. It was an excellent night, attended by 32 brethren and they welcomed V.W.Bro. Fred Hargreaves, P.G.J.O. who was the representative of the Rt.W. Provincial Grand Master. |

| Fred is a well known and frequent guest at Rose & Thistle and he was given a very warm welcome. The Lodge presented V.W.Bro.Fred with a number of cheque's, £286 to Pemberton Masonic Hall, £200 to the West Lancs Mark Charity and £200 to the Meningitis Trust in acknowledgement of Bro. Craig Bennett (Steward) who is raising funds for the Trust after his son contracted the illness. This total of £686 was greatly appreciated by V.W.Bro.Fred who also welcomed the Lodges support for the Masonic Hall and also for non-masonic charity. |

| We hope Bro. James Wheeldon will have a busy year in the chair, with hopefully a demonstration ceremony in October and a candidate for our December meeting. |
